What would be sun protection factor (SPF) be for window film?
Film that allows 1% UV transmission would have an SPF of 100 at 1.5% UV transmission, the SPF would be approximately 66.66 and with a UV transmission of 2%, the SPF would be 50 (Calculation must include full range of UVA and UVB radiation 290-400 nanometers*IWFA education guide). How is the film applied on glass?
Window films have adhesive on one side that is covered with liner. Removing the liner exposes the adhesive, which can be activated by spraying a soap solution on it. It is then affixed on the inside of the glass and the excess water squeezed out with the help of a squeegee.
