The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show welcomed more than 100,000 attendees from Nov. 4-7, including representatives from companies offering window film and paint protection film (PPF).
Many companies displayed their newest products and partnerships, including Solar Gard.
“We’re excited to not only be launching new products like our color PPF Clearshield Pro Color and our Clearshield ceramic spray coating, but also working with partners like Tint Wiz,” said Lindsay Webdell, senior marketing-communications manager.

Solar Gard held a game of “Wiz Pong” at its booth to celebrate working with Tint Wiz.
Dry application PPF was a popular new item from several companies, including STEK. According to marketing director Michael Honn, the company has been developing this technology “for a very long time.”
“It’s bridging the gap between traditional vinyl wrap and just clear PPF,” he said. “Vinyl is dry, PPF is traditionally wet. When it’s wet, you have to wait for it to dry. So this kind of changes the game.”

STEK demonstrated its dry application PPF at its SEMA booth.
Eastman featured an interactive display, allowing attendees to get a literal feel for the company’s products. Visitors could take part in mini challenges to install PPF on side view mirrors or vehicle quarter panels. The hands-on element reflected Eastman’s emphasis on training, said channel manager Dan Birkenmeier.

Eastman’s booth include plenty of hands-on activities.
“We’ve been focusing on getting brand-new installers trained faster so they create more value for our customers and for their businesses,” he said. “For existing installers, we’re investing in our training program to continue to grow their skills. We want to help them perform as well as possible.”
3M displayed PPF that could be applied either wet or dry. The company also demonstrated its products on a McLaren 720S parked right inside the doors of the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall.
According to merchandising and customer experience marketer Kevin De Silva, a different 3M-trained and authorized installer re-wrapped the car each day of SEMA, showcasing the company’s print and colored vinyl films.

The Lamborghini in 3M’s SEMA booth got a daily “makeover.”
SEMA will return to Las Vegas in 2026.
